Infamous Bay Area Fights
Saturday night is Fight Night at HP Pavilion in San Jose, the first time HBO will visit San Jose for anything ever. You maybe already know the story of Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero, the Gilroy fighter who is signed with Oscar De La Hoya’s promotional team and will be in one of the three HBO fights. Read his amazing story here or check out his not-so-amazing MySpace page here. I’m really hoping all the photos of Guerrero blowing up various fighters under the “Who I’d like to meet” section is an intentional joke. If so, maybe that page is amazing.
In honor of the big boxing night, we present our own undercard: A collection of some of the most infamous fights and brawls in Bay Area sports history.
