The Raiders’ new mile high club
The Airbus A340 pictured at left was spotted by a plane enthusiast in China. Turns out an Asian airline, seemingly apropos of nothing, is creating a Raiders ride, complete with pictures of Raiderettes, Raider jerseys and logos aplenty. Examiner Patrick talked with Raiders CEO Amy Trask about the plane.
Trask said that this deal was “a first,” as other planes painted in team logos and colors are from airlines that are carriers of the team or have some other affiliation. Trask said this is an “Exciting, fun, terrific relationship with Air Asia X” whom she called a “bodacious airline.”
We’re still wondering why this is happening. Maybe, like Al Davis, Air Asia X just loves Hey-Bey’s speed down the runway.
