Robert Rubino’s Old School blog at the Press-Democrat is hardly controversial; recent subjects include the first time he saw Willie Mays, hitless-wonder baseball teams and a three-part series about the Field of Dreams 20th anniversary. But then he wrote about Mike Tyson, and as with most things Tyson, it got a little crazy. In a post about the new Tyson documentary, Rubino wrote this:
“Tyson comes off as an unrepetent, unreflective, self-centered, self-destructive, middle-aged child. It’s a challenge to work up sympathy for his having lost a young daughter to a freak household accident this past week. Maybe the tragedy will eventually inspire him to confront his past more honestly.”
Welllll that’s not nice. After commenters jumped on him, Rubino apologized today. We’ll chalk it up to temporary insanity.

Patty Mills is keeping his name in the ring for the NBA. And that’s a very rich ring to be in. AP
