Moneyball is Done-yball
Somebody figured out that Brad Pitt doesn’t make a good Billy Beane. Or maybe it’s that a movie about baseball statistics won’t be exactly Ocean’s 11-type material. But whatever the case, the Moneyball movie is apparently dead one day before production was to begin.
Bill James is just about the only person disappointed. We expressed incredulity from the start, as did many others. Although it would’ve been fun to see Scott Hatteberg act.
