Stephen Jackson will look good in San Jose Kings purple
Two amazing stories hit the Golden State Warriors on Saturday, and we’re not even talking about the fact they played an outdoor game in Palm friggin’ Springs. Yeah.
1) Don Nelson suspended his captain Stephen Jackson for two games for his behavior Friday night against the Lakers. Jackson picked up five fouls and a technical in less than 10 minutes of game time. After he and Nellie argued on the bench, Jackson left for the locker room and didn’t return. Nellie then insisted he had never suspended a player, even though he clearly has.
2) Also Saturday, we learned that San Jose may be trying to lure the Kings away from Sacramento. You might have heard that Arco Arena is a dump, despite having a Cake song written about it.
So, if the Kings do play in San Jose, can Stephen Jackson please be traded there? And be the captain? And give him a max extension? And maybe hire Nellie away from the Warriors with a new five-year contract? Because that would be an ideal basketball scenario. Thanks.
