Just in case you forgot
Alex Smith is the 49ers’ new quarterback, same as the old quarterback. Mike Singletary tabbed Smith as the starter today after his legendary second-half performance Sunday in Houston.
But while some San Francisco fans are loudly comparing Smith-Crabtree to Young-Rice in sports bars, it just takes a quick trip to YouTube for reminders of the haunting past. Sorry for this cold bucket ‘o water.
None of these sacks were Smith’s fault, by the way. But hey, he makes the offensive line better. So, you know. Aaaallllll good.

Does that mean once Smith has met the criteria of learning the playbook he’ll be back to his usual self ? Getting sacked and throwing interceptions. I’d dare he’s been watching ex Texans’ qb David Carr and his tragedies as a player ?
