Sometimes the Internet is just the greatest. It delivered this photo of Patrick Marleau posing for his official Team Canada photo, and it also delivers lots of how-to articles, like this article about “How to Get Adults to Smile for Photos.”
Step 4: Take the pressure off. Some people will react when a camera is pointed at them by tensing up. If you have one of these people and they try and smile it might look strained. Treat the camera like a piece of furniture, but continue to keep it close.
Obviously people aren’t treating the camera like furniture when taking photos of Patrick Marleau.
This is a man who willingly gave up the Sharks’ captaincy this offseason and is now scoring at record pace out of the spotlight.
